lium spend
Show what your active pods cost per hour, an estimate of what each has spent so far, and how long your balance lasts at that rate.
lium spend [OPTIONS]
Options
| Flag | Effect |
|---|---|
--format [table|json] | Output format (default table); json prints one document to stdout |
--json | Same as --format json |
How the figures are worked out
- Spent is the pod's price per hour × the wall time since it was created. A pod still
PENDINGis$0, because it is not billing yet. The API does not report what a pod has been billed, so this is an estimate: it counts the start-up minutes and ignores restarts and price changes. For what the ledger actually charged, uselium billing history. - Burn is the sum of the hourly prices of the pods the platform bills:
RUNNING,REBOOT_PENDINGandREBOOT_FAILED. Volume storage is not included. - Runway is the balance divided by the burn. It is
0when the balance is zero or below, and empty when nothing is billing.
Examples
lium spend # Table of pods, then burn, balance and runway
lium spend --format json | jq '.burn_per_hour, .runway_hours'
The JSON document has pods (each with huid, name, status, config, price_per_hour, since, uptime_hours, spent_usd and billable), burn_per_hour, spent_usd, balance_usd, runway_hours and note, which repeats how the estimate is made. When the balance cannot be read, balance_usd and runway_hours are null and the per-pod figures are still shown.
