Export Control and Sanctions Policy
Lium compute may not be used from US embargoed countries or by sanctioned parties. This covers every Lium service: the lium.io platform, the API, the CLI, the SDK and every GPU node connected to Lium.
Lium GPU compute, and any hardware or technical data supplied to Lium, must never be provided, exported or re-exported to a restricted destination or a restricted party. Accounts that break this policy are terminated.
Who may not use Lium
You may not create an account, rent compute, connect a node or otherwise access Lium if you are:
- In, resident in or a national of Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, or the Crimea, Donetsk (DNR) or Luhansk (LNR) regions of Ukraine, or any other region that becomes comprehensively embargoed.
- Named on a US, UK or EU restricted party list, such as the SDN List, the Denied Persons List, the Entity List or the Military End User lists.
- An entity owned 50 percent or more, directly or indirectly, by parties on those lists.
Using Lium on behalf of such a person, or reselling Lium compute to them, is also prohibited.
Hardware and technical data
Hardware acquired for the Lium network stays in data centers outside restricted destinations. We do not transfer it, or technical data received with it, to a restricted destination or party.
How we enforce it
Terms
This policy governs every Lium account. Access from a restricted destination ends the right to use Lium immediately.
Card screening
Card payments go through Stripe, which refuses service to embargoed jurisdictions.
Access review
We record the network origin of every registration and review accounts that show access from a restricted destination.
Node location
Node locations come from the network address a node connects from or, when the validator reports it, the machine's own outbound address. Nodes in a restricted destination are removed.
If you break the policy
We terminate running pods and close the account.
