Rental Workload Privacy
Lium has a zero-tolerance privacy rule: a provider who accesses, inspects, copies or interferes with a renter's workload is permanently banned from the Lium network. The rule has been in force since 2026-08-19 and has been enforced.
Do not access, inspect, modify, copy data from, or interfere with rental containers or the volumes attached to them.
Why this rule matters to providers
Renters bring their models, data and code to Lium because this rule is enforced. That trust is what keeps demand coming to every honest provider's nodes. A permanent ban removes the rare provider who would put that at risk, so the network as a whole stays one that renters choose with confidence.
How a ban works
- A ban is permanent and follows the provider: it is matched by hotkey, coldkey or GPU UUID, so it covers every node the provider runs.
- Banned nodes earn no subnet incentive and take no new rentals.

When an operation needs to touch a rental
If an operation of yours needs to touch a rental workload, contact the Lium team first, through the official Discord support flow. For routine maintenance on a rented node, schedule a Notice Period so the renter is told in advance.
